Is there an age limit for yoga and meditation?
No, KMYOGA offers classes for babies through to seniors. Yoga and Meditation practices are meant to be for life and can be modified to suit all ages and levels of strength and fitness.
How do I choose the best class?
This is a good question as there are so many styles to choose from. You can read more about the styles of yoga or meditation on our website.
Our receptionist can also provide you with more information on the best class for you, so you can make your decision and start enjoying the benefits of yoga or meditation.
Can I go to a class if I am pregnant?
You are encouraged to do yoga during Pregnancy for your health and the baby’s health. Yoga and Meditation are excellent for Pregnancy on physical, emotional and mental levels.
Can I go to class if I have an injury?
Yes and no! It depends on the nature of your injury. Yoga can be great for rehabilitation from injuries.
We advise you call reception to explain the situation and they will guide you. You must tell the teacher before the class of any injuries so they can help you adjust your practice.
Do I need to book for a class?
No. All our scheduled yoga and meditation classes are drop in, however we recommend booking online to secure your place and arriving 15 minutes before class to sign in.
Do I need to sign in for a class if I have booked online?
Yes. All students who book in to classes online must sign in upon arrival and before the start of the class.
Do I need to book for a workshop?

Speak to reception for more details about our membership options.
What is the best way for me to pay?
Depending on how often you want to practice, you can: pay as you go, pay on line, buy groups of classes (10) or buy unlimited flexible or 12 month memberships. If you need help to decide which option best suits you contact our reception who will be happy to assist you.
Do I need to bring my own mat?
We provide all the equipment, including eco rubber Jade yoga mats you need for our classes at KMYOGA. We regularly clean our mats. We do recommend that at some point you purchase a mat as it is nice to have your own mat to practise on. Please ask at reception for info on where to buy mats.
What do I wear?
Some people wear baggy, loose fitting bottoms and a t-shirt. Other people wear tight, stretchy leggings and tops. The only thing that matters is that you wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move and stretch in.
It’s good to have clothes that keep you cool when you are active in asanas, but bring a jumper for relaxation. We provide organic cotton blankets but some people feel the cold and like to bring extra clothing like socks for the relaxation phase.
What if I am late for a class?
Ideally we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes before your class, but we know, life happens, so we try to be flexible. If you are one minute late we will still let you in but please be aware that lateness to a class disrupts the teacher and students so please be considerate.
Generally five minutes late is fine, but ultimately the teacher decides.
What happens if there’s a queue and I’ll be late for my class?
We try our best to make sure this doesn’t happen and to sign you in asap.

Can I eat before a yoga class?
It won’t be the best way to enjoy your class! Find out what works for you but in general we do not recommend eating a large meal within 2 hours of class. If you must eat within 2 hours of a class then a light meal or snack that is easily digested is best. If you’ve come straight from work and feel you need an energy booster, then try H2O Coconut water available at our reception.
Is yoga a religion?
No. People with every kind of different religious and atheist beliefs practice yoga. The physical and psychological benefits of yoga are real and don’t discriminate on the basis of race, religion or gender.
Your relationship with your practice is personal and unique. Some people’s yoga is a deeply spiritual practice.
Whether you are honouring your God, your body, or simply having fun, yoga and meditation is for everyone and brings all kinds of people together. We encourage a community spirit at KMYOGA.
